Never argue with a woman. For men, argument is a logical pursuit of consensus and truth, addressing facts and evidence, and filling knowledge gaps. For women, argument IS THE GOAL. It's a dance. The words don't matter, she just wants to see that she can get the reaction.

Just say the wrong thing on purpose and then laugh at her, she has no defense for that. When she tells you to go sleep on the couch just get in bed and tell her to go sleep on the couch if she's that mad. Again she has no defense for that.

Women, especially my wife, don't realize how often a man has to practice restraint. Restraint from saying how we really feel. So we don't hurt their feelings. And restraint from having a violent outburst by cutting the grass down to the soil so her backyard becomes non-existent for a while. Let the sun have it.

Generally, there’s not much of anything you could say to get her to accept the reality of a given situation. When you realize that even after presenting a valid argument she will come up with any false reality to justify her perspective the argument becomes meaningless.

If your wife is irrational &not yet mature enough to know why she’s upset, the only good answer is to help her find why she’s actually upset. You can’t set out to “win” &get anything done and if you have made disagreements a fight, takes a long time for her let down defenses.
