There’s nothing amateur about college sports, it’s a billion dollar industry that has exploited these kids for years. It’s ridiculous to attack a kid maximizing his value, while these universities have built their programs on the backs of the kids for decades for free. CTC

Problem with your viewpoint is you are heavily more on the side of the school and you can tell by your tone. The player isn't doing anything wrong as he is within the rules. You have to blame the system and don't look bias against the player, you look like you defending schools.

College football has been ruined by the gross mishandling of NIL.

Look you said collectively bargain with them. YOU DID. The MEMBER SCHOOLS like TENNESSEE refuse to collectively bargain b/c all revenue is up for grabs not just collective money they get from alums and fans…. They have made Trillions since 1990 off free labor.

Get with the times. Stop moaning about the old ways and know that college athletes are more cognizant about their slices of the pie. It wasn’t about amateurism when coaches were demanding a kings ransom so don’t get pissed Nico has the ability to leverage his situation now.

What exactly are you trying to prevent by giving players contracts? And don't mention amateurism, that's long gone at this point.

How does this impact his draft positioning? He will get drafted and GMs are certainly tuned into this action. Will he be removed from some teams boards? If he is doing this in college, I would expect him to try to come to the table in year 2 or 3 of his rookie deal.

lol trash decision from a trash qb

I do agree something has to be done. Though maybe he doesn’t think he will ever be a top 10 draft pick and/or get a starting QB job since there are only 32 of those jobs and we constantly have veteran QBs getting those jobs. So why not get his money now while he can.

Well put Chase. NIL is getting out of control
