Q: Are you saying UK and European military forces should go to Ukraine now, to safe areas, to make a statement and "flip that switch" in Putin's head? Boris Johnson: Yes, if we're willing to send them after a ceasefire, which hands all the power to Putin, why not do it now? There's no logical reason we shouldn't deploy peaceful ground forces to show support for a free, independent Ukraine. This is political: if Ukraine is truly free, then Ukrainians decide who enters their country.
