Why not use a normal pencil sharpener?

normal pencil sharpeners only give you a certain conical point. This is an art pencil if mine eyes are good. You want more than just basic cone points for those.

Because you can have more control over different different stroke weights when the lead is sharpened at an angle.

If you don't understand its use, the product isn't for you. Regular sharpeners only shape 1 point-type and often remove too much material from the pencil. This method removes a lot of the wood leaving the core more intact. Sharpening this way extends the life of the tool....$

Im pretty sure this product is directed at artists! Most artists like to have the writing material stick out like that and it makes it more convenient

This is better for drawing with, specifically fast sketching and shading varied tones cause there is more surface area. A normal sharpener is for fine detail and clean lines.

Makeup pencils. You get some amazing eyeshadow lines.

A regular sharpener isn't going to give you those sharpening options. This tool is awesome!

It is a makeup pencil for drawing eyebrows and such so it needs a shaped point like that for precision.

Waste less graphite then you would with a twist sharpener.

@axelnayer For a flat edge on a drawing (charcoal) pencil. A lot of art pencils are flat not rounded.

В моей художке точилка для карандашей это зашквар. Когда точишь карандаш сам получается гораздо лучший грифель и заодно тренируется твердость и точность руки. А это важно при рисовании штриховкой например в классическом рисунке. Точилка на видео тоже баловство
