That is why the pump is underground on the end of the pipe in the water table. Every well I know of is beyond 10 meters or 30 feet where it draws up water

Had this problem and pump burned the windings when im on holiday and no one primming the pump to suck water out... Replaced the pump and installed an sensor operated solenoid valve to run in parrallel with pump ON switching for limitted time... its now a wifi smart system

Inject air and push the water back up. Works for oil well restarts.
