@RedWaveCrewHP You know why because there is a bunch of fumb people in the world that cant open bottles of wine normally. Hundreds of years no need for this shit. But now because some Karen lost her eye because some Kevin cant open a bottle!!!! Thanks Kevin you wanker!

Fair point, but I think it's more about presentation and safety than necessity. People opened wine bottles just fine for centuries, but modern restaurants tend to be extra cautious with expensive bottles.

@RedWaveCrewHP Kevin is that you.......did they send you on a wine opening health and safety course? and now they've got control your mind! Omg Kevin nooooo

@RedWaveCrewHP Complete bollocks, the French are turning in their graves - This is purely performative shite

@RedWaveCrewHP most sparkling wine is disgorged by the producer. This is not common.

Good point. It's definitely not common usually reserved for older, high-end bottles rather than everyday sparkling wine.

@RedWaveCrewHP So this is just wrong. I can’t tell if write bait or genuinely stupid. One it’s not new or fancy, it’s a a required step in champagne production. Two, the producer disgorges in the cellar not a waiter table side. If a waiter did this to my Bereche I would have to fight them.

It's not fancy restaurants 'cleaning dust' off bottles. This is a specific natural sparkling wine from Slovenia (Movia Puro) where the producer leaves the yeast sediment in for you to disgorge table-side in water. Cool party trick, but super niche not how normal Champagne or sparkling is opened. Great wine though!

Thanks for the clarification! That's actually really interesting. So it's a unique tradition specific to Movia Puro rather than a standard sparkling wine practice. Learned something new today! 🍷

People will pay for anything. You could serve them a dirty raccoon asshole on a stick, drizzle some balsamic reduction on it, and call it “foraged woodland delicacy with aged sherry gastrique” — they’d line up and fight over who gets to pay forty bucks for it. Bunch of trained seals. They shove the whole goddamn bottle neck-down into a big tub of water and pop the cork underwater. Like that somehow makes it classy instead of stupid. You’re still watching two hundred dollars of French champagne bubble away into a fucking fish tank while everyone oohs and aahs. Bunch of trained seals paying premium to watch good booze get murdered.

@RedWaveCrewHP My french ancestors have never seen such bullshit

@RedWaveCrewHP It’s not French it’s Slovenian. The producer is Movia & they make natural wines. The Puro needs to be disgorged this way to purge the sentiment. The wine is stored ‘upside down’ & they give you the tool to open it. I worked for their former importer. And it’s delicious!

@RedWaveCrewHP 😅 When your wife is a physicist Nothing fancy, just opening a bottle with a hair flat iron.

@RedWaveCrewHP "A very weird fermentation method" making up 1/4 of the worlds sparkling wine. Its literally the originial method of creating sparkling wine. Its called Traditional Method or Champagne method. Dummy

@RedWaveCrewHP That's wild! Never knew they were secretly power-washing the gross buildup off the bottle.

Right? It looks fancy, but there's actually a practical reason behind it. Years of dust, mold, and cellar buildup can collect on old bottles, so they clean them before opening.

@RedWaveCrewHP If you think this is a normal thing, you know nothing about wine. ..I literally can't tell if this is satire..

@RedWaveCrewHP It's not how restaurants open fancy wine. It's a rare table-side disgorgement trick used by a few natural wine producers for bottles still full of sediment. The caption is straight-up misleading rage bait.

@RedWaveCrewHP Pro tip from France : that’s bullshit.

@RedWaveCrewHP Me as a French person seeing this

This isn’t a “weird fermentation” process. Most decent sparkling wines go through secondary fermentation in bottle like this. The difference is the winery does the disgorgement and re-corking for you before you buy it. This just means you lose wine and pay more for nothing

@RedWaveCrewHP Let’s waste half of the bottle, but drink it through a paper straw.

@RedWaveCrewHP You learn something new everyday

@RedWaveCrewHP Drama for show! Wineries usually disgorge at the factory. This tableside water trick just wastes good wine & bubbles "

Fair point 😅. It definitely isn't standard practice. For most sparkling wines, disgorging is done at the winery. This is more of a niche tradition and a bit of theater for the experience than a necessity.

Sparkling wine Puro by @MOVIAwines The yeast is kept in the bottle and released into the water. You will see that the bottle opener is also unique for this operation.

@RedWaveCrewHP Ain’t no fucking way I’m doing this!! Wasting champagne!!

@RedWaveCrewHP AHAHAHAH ...

@RedWaveCrewHP if a man takes me and out orders this just to show off, it's a bit of a red flag. a good bottle tastes fine without the whole magic trick performance

@RedWaveCrewHP Just another way to upcharge the price for service

@RedWaveCrewHP I’m just telling you this isn’t a thing

@RedWaveCrewHP They don't.

@RedWaveCrewHP Humans will find any number of ways to almost kill themselves.

@RedWaveCrewHP The reason sure doesn’t justify the price

@RedWaveCrewHP I guess I haven’t ever seen this because I’ve never had fancy wine😅

@RedWaveCrewHP If you have to remove the yeast from wine before drinking, I'd go for any decent bottle of wine that does not require yeast removal. I would apply this rule to vaginas too.

@RedWaveCrewHP @zemetre ça sert à quoi ?

@RedWaveCrewHP 你喜欢Panda吗~😁

@RedWaveCrewHP How stupid can you actually get?

@RedWaveCrewHP

@RedWaveCrewHP São espumantes que possuem a levedura dentro da garrafa. Chamados nature.. deixam a garrafa de cabeça para baixo para decantar no gargalo e remover a levedura dentro d’água na reabertura…
