At a church near us the new pastor stopped the bells. He said: "We don't know when consecration happens". At the next Mass, when he elevated the host, about a half a dozen little old ladies jingled their keys at the same time. This happened for a few weeks until he relented.

So that's why most NO parishes don't ring them. I see. Also, I almost never hear external bells ring anymore. They used to when the Host is elevated. Bring all the bells back please.

This sound heralds the gift of Life to Western Civilization, the hope for all people ensnared in futile cycles, the individual souls, families, and societies that spiral downward when not nourished by the Holiest bread and wine of Life.

We need more bells.
