Kenneth Clark was a British art historian, museum director and broadcaster. He was the presenter of this TV series called "Civilisation" in 1969. He was in every way possible a classical liberal. Today, he would be classed as a Fascist. He would not fit in at the BBC nowadays!

I have seen this and the Adolescence meme referencing it in the wrong order but no matter. Beautiful work. Though I missed Peter H.

I think thoughts such as these spurred Nietzsche - he feared an age incapable of confidence and reverence.

Kenneth Clark's "Civilization". . . The greatest twelve hour documentary ever made.
