Why run game in editor when you could run editor in game instead ๐

While playing with this I noticed that when you change signals in editor they aren't changed in game. I opened a proposal to fix that:

Godot should add an editable editor in run time

Ok now this is pretty amazing! How easy was it to achieve? ๐

hiding the main screen in godot and making it always on top is easy. but I'm now thinking I could make the game communicate something back. I could for example use the in-game camera to instantiate prefabs in front of you (and they will persist in editor). stuff like this will make it possible to work on the game while you're playing it
