Savukku Shankar’s yet-another arrest proves DMK is nothing but a pack of fascist wolves wanting to hunt down its critics! This DMK government is probably the most dangerous and diabolical one in the history of Tamil Nadu. It just won’t let critics exist at all. Otherwise, why would a government machinery waste its time and resources searching for a benign critic throughout India and arrest him? Especially during elections, anyone who criticises the DMK government becomes unpardonable. Today it is Shankar, and tomorrow it can happen to anyone if this fascist DMK government continues. Of course, Shankar could have been a bit more responsible and cautious in his criticisms. It kind of became personal. Criticising a government is different from personally attacking a powerful police officer who is alleged to be very close to the first family of the DMK. But that doesn’t absolve the DMK government of its witch-hunting, because it has arrested meme creators too in the past. The DMK government will never arrest the perpetrators of Vengaivayal. It will never act against those who manufactured the Kallakurichi disaster. It will never take action against terrorists and drug mafia folks. But the moment you question the sheer incapacity of this government, especially around elections, you will be arrested. Shankar, who claimed to be in Gujarat, has been consistently questioning the DMK government, and he has been arrested in Andhra, which itself is a mystery. Sometimes I sit down and ask myself: what kind of metal was used to make Dr. Kizza Besigye? Here is a man who is financially secure, with investments, highly educated, a retired military officer, and married to an internationally respected wife. He has a family and every reason to choose a quiet life, yet he has never surrendered or stopped fighting for what he believes is the liberation of Uganda. From the day he declared that he would challenge his former friend for the presidency in 2001, he has faced countless political battles. He has survived death threats, rape allegations, repeated arrests, the loss of family members, and the loss of close friends in the struggle. Through it all, he has never given up. Truth be told, I even fear his level of resilience. What many people dismissed as “just another arrest” has, over nearly two years, turned into a life-threatening ordeal. Yet every time he appears before a judge, he still carries himself with remarkable courage. Looking at his actions, one gets the impression that he would rather lose his life than surrender his principles. Whether one agrees with his politics or not, very few people could endure what Dr. Besigye has endured. Many people, when faced with such pressure, would plead guilty for a lighter sentence or negotiate with those responsible for their arrest. He has chosen a different path. Personally, I know I would have surrendered long ago. We may never see another Besigye in our lifetime. People can debate his politics, but his endurance, conviction and willingness to sacrifice for what he believes are qualities that are undeniably rare. Even at his age, he continues to shake the most powerful tables May God keep you alive to witness the fulfillment of everything you believe in. May your faith, hope and perseverance be rewarded. Feel terribly sorry for Dr.Palanivel Thiaga Rajan and his emotional “Retirement Speech”! When DMK came back to power in 2021, Dr P Thiaga Rajan (PTR) (and his 'sold' pedigree) was seen as someone who could bring a turnaround to the state’s finances. But he was so naïve and alien to DMK politics that he started seriously questioning finances. As a result, he exposed the DMK first family tooth and nail. Since then, he has been relegated from the Finance Ministry (arguably the second most powerful ministry) to the relatively innocuous IT Ministry, which suggests he was sidelined not because of his performance but because of his honesty. If you are honest, you can never be with DMK! Dr P Thiaga Rajan (PTR) should have instantly quit DMK and reached out to "other options" that would have “onboarded” him with “open arms.” If he had done that, today he wouldn’t be weeping like this. I feel terribly sorry for Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan and the lack of judgement that has resulted in his possible “Retirement Speech”!

I note Prime Minister Andrew Holness’s remarks in a TV interview this morning. Neither he nor his Party has made those proposals as part of the process of constitutional reform. His proposals are therefore not in the report of the Constitutional Reform Committee, and will not be in the new Constitution coming out of that process. Furthermore, Mr. Holness’s proposals are not in the existing Constitution, and would violate the existing Constitution. This is in keeping with his and his Government’s unfortunate history of past violations of the Constitution of Jamaica. It seems that the Prime Minister wants to make up a rule which is not part of the Constitution or laws of Jamaica, to suit his Party’s political fortune at a time when it is waning. He has no power and no authority to do that. He needs to tell the country why his statutory declarations to the Integrity Commission cannot be certified. I am compliant with the Constitution and laws of Jamaica, and I undertake to the People of Jamaica that I will continue to be so.

John Thuo spoke today like a man carrying pain too heavy for one heart to hold. A broken man. A frightened man. A man who feels danger circling around his life. Annamalai is a Godsend – His entry into politics is a result of divine intervention! I have always been intrigued by the Man. How could a someone who is just 4 years into politics taste this kind of meteoric rise in Tamil politics and get loved by crores of people? What else could be other than divine intervention? People could argue that he has not won an election. He lost in 2021 because he was an unknown and there were polarizing issues in his constituency. 2024 was an experiment where the BJP leadership should not have let him contest because there were always chances of DMK and ADMK joining hands to defeat him. I am confident that 2026 will be a defining moment in his political career, if he is allowed to continue in his current role. If you carefully analyze his speeches/press meets, you can understand that his orations have been spectacular, and they are not prepared/scripted or memorized. If I were to analyze Annamalai esoterically, you would realize that though he is young, he could well be an old soul that is reborn. Someone who had many rebirths and maybe got the last one to fulfill a destiny. That destiny is to create a spiritual renaissance in Tamil Nadu and take us back to our past glory. Do you think that by the folly of man, the glory of God can be diminished? . I tell you, no kingdom of this earth, no rebellion of heart, no blasphemy of tongue can ever tarnish the majesty of the Almighty. His glory is not made by the hands of men, nor is it undone by their defiance. . Consider the arrogance of those who refuse to kneel, who claim that their disbelief can unmake the Creator. They are like madmen in a darkened cell, scratching the word ‘darkness’ upon the walls as though, by their crude mark, they could blot out the sun. But tell me, does the sun diminish because it is unseen by the blind? Does its light falter because a lunatic curses its name? No, my friend. The sun remains, burning with relentless brilliance, giving life to all who dwell beneath it, whether they acknowledge it or not. . So it is with God. His glory is eternal, unshaken by the denial of men. He is the architect of the heavens, the One who breathed life into dust and set the stars upon their courses. Is Udhayanidhi willing to pay even 100 crores per TVK MLA to topple the Joseph Vijay government?? Ever since Chief Minister Joseph Vijay called out the TASMAC Party Fund scam, the DMK ecosystem seems to have been completely rattled and shattered. What irked them the most was the Chief Minister 's remark, "Enga… Appava Kaanom." Since that incident, I have been hearing that Udhayanidhi wants to topple the Joseph Vijay government. Apparently, Udhayanidhi cannot stand seeing Joseph Vijay as the Chief Minister when he had thought it was almost certain that he would be the next Chief Minister, until TVK Vijay shattered those dreams. Savukku Shankar, in many interviews, has warned about DMK trying to buy out TVK Party HQ MLAs to ensure this government is toppled. I am also hearing that Udhayanidhi does not mind spending even 100 crores per TVK Party HQ MLA. He allegedly plans to poach at least 30 MLAs and, with an ADMK alliance, form a government. The numbers would add up to 136, which would be a comfortable majority. The possibility of DMK and ADMK coming together has been discussed multiple times over the past few weeks. Again, Savukku Shankar has mentioned that the first family has amassed so much money that they would not mind spending a significant portion of it to destabilize this performing government, to come back to power. However, recently, former Chief Minister MK Stalin mentioned that we could expect elections any time. What the Opposition does not understand is that if fresh elections are held, TVK Vijay would secure more than 45% votes and win over 140 seats on its own. It would be better for the Opposition to hibernate and hope that CMOTamilNadu makes some grave mistakes. But the way he is going, I do not think that is going to happen. At least one more term for Joseph Vijay appears to be all but confirmed!

Savukku Shankar, in many interviews, has warned about DMK trying to buy out TVK Party HQ MLAs to ensure this government is toppled. I am also hearing that Udhayanidhi does not mind spending even 100 crores per TVK Party HQ MLA. He allegedly plans to poach at least 30 MLAs and, with an ADMK alliance, form a government. The numbers would add up to 136, which would be a comfortable majority. The possibility of DMK and ADMK coming together has been discussed multiple times over the past few weeks. Again, Savukku Shankar has mentioned that the first family has amassed so much money that they would not mind spending a significant portion of it to destabilize this performing government, to come back to power. However, recently, former Chief Minister MK Stalin mentioned that we could expect elections any time. What the Opposition does not understand is that if fresh elections are held, TVK Vijay would secure more than 45% votes and win over 140 seats on its own. It would be better for the Opposition to hibernate and hope that CMOTamilNadu makes some grave mistakes. But the way he is going, I do not think that is going to happen. Both DMK and ADMK had made things so easy for Vijay that he keeps scoring with very basic executions day by day. What should have been a hygiene factor looks like an achievement because that is how bad both those parties were. The moment Vijay came to power, he included the parties that extended support for his government in the cabinet ministry. While this may sound so obvious, the fact that Congress, VCK etc were not given this opportunity for decades of being in alliance with both the parties has made Vijay look superior. Both the parties that spoke of social justice lost their faces there. Vijay came out and made a bold statement that no one should ask or give bribe in the Government sector and if anyone asks, people can outright reject stating Vijay's name. Plus he carried out some basic clean up operations in many departments to put an end to the commission practice. While this has not ended corruption totally and we do not know how successful this operation will be in 5 years time, he has the image of being the Champion of ant-corruption campaign in TN for the first time. No one stopped the other two parties from doing this. But they were so comfortable in running a corrupt system that benefits them and their ministers too. Today people are celebrating the live telecast of assembly sessions everyday. This is infact the electoral promise of both the parties in the past but they never executed. This is not even a technical challenge. All it takes is the intent to make the sessions transparent and Vijay simply had to do that. By doing this, it is not just the majority of DMK MLAs who are getting exposed, even a few TVK ministers' activities are being questioned. But Vijay is ok with that and he is bold enough to do this. Chief Minister Joseph Vijay will never go against Hindus! CM Vijay’s dad is a non-practicing Catholic Christian, and his mom is a practicing Hindu. This technically makes CM Vijay half-Hindu. Even during his acting days, he identified himself as the boy-next-door Vijay. It was only a few years back that he began identifying himself as Joseph Vijay, perhaps keeping in mind his political ambitions to corner a chunk of the Christian votes that otherwise went to the DMK-Congress alliance. Not many know that CM Vijay built a Sai Baba temple for his mom out of respect for her belief and faith. CM Vijay may have his own faith, but he seems to be someone who respects others’ faith too. I don’t see anything wrong with someone flaunting his/her faith. PM Modi openly visits so many Hindu temples. Dr Manmohan Singh used to visit Sikh temples when he was Prime Minister. Now, I agree that Christians have been given important positions in this government, but you should also note that key individuals who have an affiliation with RSS are part of CM Vijay’s think tank. This means he will be able to balance adhering to his own faith with ensuring his government is secular. The last thing he would want to do is hurt the sentiments of the 25% of Hindus who voted for him. Why would he jeopardize his future prospects of doing better electorally? Having said the above, Marie Wilson is an eyesore in the Cabinet. He does not deserve to hold Finance, one of the most important portfolios. In my view, he does not deserve any portfolio and should be sacked. Making him Finance Minister was an insanely ridiculous decision. His speeches will become increasingly embarrassing for the government. Lastly, CM Vijay is running this government under several compulsions. I hope he gets a simple majority on his own in the next election, gets to operate with much more freedom and gives an even better government.
