Why Should We Pray?

We pray out of a respect for who God(Jesus), is. Our prayers should be to glorify and magnify, his holy name (Jesus); as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Not so much, what we want and desire; but what he has already provided for us; Eternal Life, through Jesus Christ.

Matt.6 5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

God’s will is activated when a human soul, agrees with it in faith.

Preach it.

People should pray to develop a deeper connection with God, receive comfort, guidance, and strength, and to express gratitude and seek divine will for their lives. Prayer also provides a way to release worries, to participate in God's works and to become more aligned with divine priorities. From a religious perspective, prayer is seen as an invitation into a transformative relationship with the divine, allowing individuals to become more like God. Lastly, we are commanded by God to pray without ceasing.

A useless practice, that gets proven as ineffective whenever something bad Happens. School shootings happen in spite of your prayers 🤷🏼‍♂️
