Ian McKellen is one of the best actors ever to exist.

This is Frodo’s entire purpose. This is why he had to 'fail' in the end. A normal hobbit took on an impossible task, broke himself for it, and saved the world; not thru greatness, but thru humility, grace & love of peace and for his fellow man.

For every stupid moment the Hobbit trilogy gave us, there is a peak moment to redeem it.
