The Concrete Beach is fine, but let’s not get carried away.. Oak Street and Ohio Street are podium material, and Chicago has 20+ other beaches ready to make the case. Those beaches are hard for us to compete with up here in Nuuk. 😎🤩

Boston Harbor beach water (especially the highly rated South Boston ones) is generally materially cleaner than the typical popular Chicago lakefront concrete beach water for bacterial swimming safety

I hate the concrete by the lake front. I’ve hated it since they installed it. They only did it to transfer money to union labor. They waste or steal about half of the tax money they collect. I for one don’t care what other people think of Chicago. This is still a free country.

My father had to work out of Chicago for the most of my childhood and going from nyc to chi was always one of the better memories I have of my adolescence. Is it a perfect city ? No is it clean for the most part 7/10 times. But that lake that lake is gorgeous. Also Italian beef and deep dish rules idc what anyone says.

This is 100% not a beach , not classified as a beach … Why do Chicago natives stay dumb ? There only one place with real beaches in the 50 states … it’s called Florida !
