If they were conscious edits, I feel like it would sound like "You have heard it was said that Moses hand was leperous, but I tell you it was not [insert the correction and purpose of the change afterwards]." The Quran does none of that though and comes across as misunderstanding the tales Muhammad heard from the surrounding religious groups he engaged with. He was known as the "Ear" afterall.

That isn't an argument. An edit cannot just be a different detail and must be a deliberate and acknowledged change otherwise it's just a misunderstanding or an outright error. Therefore, point out one ayah in which the author of the Quran frames it as a correction rather than a misunderstanding or goes in depth about a tradition in the Old/New Testament making a clear correction. Back up your claim rather than saying I'm wrong with no evidence to back it up.

Also, if the author truly knew about the previous scriptures, why are so many large portions of the Israel's history not referenced such as the Judges, Priesthood, Kings, and Kingdom splits not referenced or corrected? Considering how in depth many of those portions are in the Biblical text, there are no corrections made regarding them leading one to assume the author of the Quran is not nearly as knowledgeable about the Biblical texts as you claim

If the Qur’an as Muhaymin (guardian and overseer) over the previous scriptures as it explicitly states in 5:48 and throughout its texts, it is fully aware of those scriptures and deliberately corrects or edits them where needed. This alone renders the Islamic Dilemma a dead argument. It’s honestly one of the weakest arguments Christians advance, even though they treat it as their strongest.
