They nothing like change in norm anything. Using Nigeria as a cast study, most people still want to get married but two major factors hold them. 1) Hight cost of living and financial stability 2) High number of unmarriable men and woman compared to the marriable men and women due to bad character and lack of sense.

Most of the old generation give birth in litters and send those children all over where they grow up maltreated/traumatized. No sense of responsibility or accountability. No responsible/reasonable person would want a child to go through what they went through if they aren't ready
