They just need to be sure it's configured to the right setting before sharing it. If the prototype is set to "Actual Size" when shared, it will display perfectly to the viewer. In this case, it was set to "Fill Screen", so you'll need to manually change it (& 99% of clients won't know!)

When reviewing portfolios to hire, these prototypes take too long to load compared to simple sites. I’m pretty sure a lot of hiring managers wouldn’t wait.

I agree. I don’t know why no one talks about this, but in many cases, you can open files in editor mode which allows you to view and browse their entire contents across different pages, which may lead to the unintended exposure of your or your client's work.

I had so many problem sharing figma links with clients, there are some settings that you can tweak before sharing it, but almost always encounter some errors around different devices

There's actually lots of workarounds for this. If you make it as a website (same viewport for all pages and make sure you share the link with the right scaling), it'll work fine.
