He was appointed as the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the British Indian Ocean Territory on 6th September 2024, meaning he didn’t have the appropriate clearances to view classified documents in August 2024, as I asked the Prime Minister at PMQs last week. This Government is happy to play fast and loose with national security in order to prop up Keir Starmer’s chumocracy.
