Guys, Life and death are in power of the tongue. Jesus said "the Words I speak to you are spirit and they are life." So yes curses/cusses are actually spirits and death while the opposite (words of grace and love and truth) carry a spirit of life. Stay in the light & life

I know way too many Christians that don't curse or drink and still don't practice what they preach.. this is why I rarely go to church.

That’s how I rebooted my path, I simply quit cursing. It’s peaceful, rewarding and people take you more seriously.

Thank you so much for your post. You are correct. Also language is a gift from God the ability to speak and to use profanity is abuse of the gift. If the profanity comes into your mind, your thoughts repudiate it in your mind and declare that spirit does not belong to you .

I use curse words whenever i want and i don't think it's that big of a deal. There is nuance to it. I think it's a bit foul when people start preaching self righteousness.

"Cursing" someone is not the same thing as cussing. Foul language is a separate thing in the bible. Ephesians 4:29

I get what they are saying. Don't curse towards others. The minute you bring cuss words into an argument or towards another person, you lose. Saying, "my dogs just shit all over my house, I'm f'ng pissed," is one thing. However, "you're a pos," is not real cool.

Yeah, can’t get on board with this especially since the meaning changes over time. Most “Christians” who like to virtue signal like this aren’t even in the word. Not even devotionals at the least.

I don’t see anything wrong with cussing. The issue when you use words to hurt others, thats a curse. Love God and have a relationship with him. Be kind to everyone and don’t judge others. Defend good and stand up to evil. Don’t get tied up with those who act high and mighty like pharisees (those who act closer to god because they flaunt prayer, crosses, and judge others who aren’t like them) they will not meet the standards they give to others when they themselves are judged.

I was once someone who never used curse words, but circumstances, incredible pain & stress have caused deep anger within me that many times comes out with words that are not honoring to my Savior. Thank you for this reminder to be set apart & a reflection of Christ in all I do.✝️
