I think I may have something similar that I bought from Sears in '75 or '76. Now to dig through 50 years of tool hoarding to find something; anything.

Clamping 45° miters is tricky. Uneven pressure can shift or open the joint. This corner clamp keeps pressure even—so it closes cleanly.
