Why would any American respect Congress when the unintellectual & unprincipled occupy half of the U.S. Senate? It’s all politics, no principle. Look, if a Dem had some decorum most of us would respect them. We are living in a time of awakening. Time to elect better leaders.

It's rather scary to consider that a rather large segment of our population would look at this type of "leadership" and consider it doing such a good job that they continue to re-elect it. The type of job they're doing, if these people were cooks, people would stop eating.

The U.S. Constitution requires Members of Congress to be paid, even during government shutdowns. If Members of Congress had to forfeit their pay during government shutdowns, there would be fewer shutdowns or they would end quicker. That’s why I’ve introduced a constitutional amendment that, if ratified, would bar Members of Congress from receiving a paycheck for the duration of a shutdown. It’s time Congress plays by the same rules as everyone else & we get back to work on behalf of the American people.
