Why would the filmmakers behind Primetime make Chris Hansen look like a ratings-obsessed maniac while portraying real-life child predators as the victims? He points out that you don't have to look very far into Hollywood's history for a plausible explanation: "And why would they do this? Let's remember that...

@chrishansen This is hollywoods way of slowly normalizing pedophilia They did the same thing with gays and trans. They make the predators look like the victims instead of the monsters they are. It’s quite obvious what they’re doing here and we’ll see more and more of this in the coming years

Weinstein corporatized abuse as a part of his business model, when he thought he had the protection of his own brand. Hollywood has had deviancy since Hollywood became Hollywood. Encouraging vigilantism is a bad idea. The internet made the problem more complex. AI or super intelligence will make it even more complex. Just as Weinstein corporatized his abuse of others, another industry becomes the counter to that, and makes bank all the same, just as nefarious unless there is some benefit to society beyond the shock value of exposing it.

@chrishansen Of course they villainize Hansen while coddling predators. Par for the course from an industry that preaches one thing and does another.

@chrishansen The problem with Hollywood is: most victims of Hollywood remain silent about the abuses, because they too aspire to be the future Hollywood victimizers. Same is true in the fake news. PBS News and ABC News conspired with Charlie Rose and Epstein. They are LEGION.

@chrishansen I think it is brave that the execs, writers, etc at @A24 to finally admit they, and the rest of Hollywood, are pro-pedophile, the honesty is refreshing. Now let's deal with it properly

@chrishansen Exactly. Hollywood keeps re‑packaging the same power dynamics, turning predators into moral crusaders while rewarding ratings. It’s a classic case of state‑overreach masquerading as justice, fuelin...

@chrishansen Why would you and the rest of the @GOP continue to try to hide the Epstein files, give Maxwell a sweetheart deal in a "club fed" as long as she keeps her mouth shut, and ignore that Trump is mentioned in the Epstein Files more than anyone else?

Jacob Tierney discusses his process for writing Heated Rivalry and outlining season two: "The book [Heated Rivalry] is in five parts and very quickly I was like, part one, episode one. Part two, episode two. It was very clear to me. …So in this case, I actually did not outline. Because I was just using these parts of this book, and I knew these books so well at this point. Something that I did, and that I'm trying to do again now when I'm writing the new season, is I'm trying to use—Because there's a dreaminess to this show, I try to use my memory as a guide. I'm like, what do I remember? And then I try to give primacy to the stuff that I remember and that has stuck in my brain all these years with this story. So I’m like, oh I have to do that! And that's a nice way for me to kind of center things. Where if I have to do that, then it means maybe I don't have to do this, and it maybe means I want to combine or collapse different things. Because if this is going to take up—If one incident that I'm thinking of is going to take up the space in an episode that I think of as the heart, …then you don't need to do a first version of it in the same way, you know? Little things like that. That being said, for this season because I'm working with a co-writer as well, we have outlined everything. And every time, I do approach outlining like a teenager, where I'm like, [modulates voice] I don't want to. But then when I do it, I'm always like, why don't I always do this? It makes everything so much easier. So I kind of gaslight myself in that way." ✍🏼 transcription via Heated Rivalry News & Updates. Burt Lancaster on why Frank Perry was the wrong choice to direct "The Swimmer" (1968) & the directors he felt would have handled it better: "'The Swimmer' (1968) is certainly one of my favorites. It's a John Cheever story and there was the very difficult problem of translating a literary work to the screen. Cheever speaks in the short story of how a man is walking through a lane and he smells a fire, it's an autumn fire; he describes it as the smell of autumn in the air. Well, that kind of thing in writing is lovely, especially in Cheever's phrases, but when you try to get this quality onto film, it requires some kind of approach. I'll say that I don't think Frank Perry was able to do this, and I don't know that any other director would have been. But you certainly need someone like a Fellini or a Truffaut, or someone with that kind of imagination to let the camera also tell your story. Film has its own particular life—regardless of what's actually going on in a film. And it needed some kind of strange, weird approach to capture the audience and make them realize that, in a way, they were not looking at anything real. In talking about the script we would say, "I don't know why two men in white coats don't come take this guy away." It should have been obvious that this man was going through something that was not quite real; it was all part of his imagination. But it was played in a realistic sense—so when you come to the end of that film, instead of being sympathetic and heartbroken for the man, you were surprised and shocked." Keegan Bradley says losing the Ryder Cup at Bethpage was the “darkest time of his life”. However, he also would love to do it again and “avenge that loss.” Speaking ahead of the Hero World Challenge, he said: “I have this like gaping hole in my career now that I don't know that I'll ever be able to fill. This isn't something that you lose the Masters, you lose a tournament, I'm going to work extra hard to get back and win. “Being the captain of the Ryder Cup team is not something you can work hard for, it's just something that's sort of elected on you. “I don't know. Of course I would love to do it again, I would love to avenge that loss, but that's not up to me. That's not up to -- I don't think that's fair for me to come out here and say that. “But I would love to do it again at some point. I don't know if that will ever happen, probably won't. I think if you ask any losing captain if they would like to do it again, they would all want another shot.” On what the weeks after the Ryder Cup were like for him emotionally, he said: “I mean, the darkest time of my life probably. I mean, I don't know how else to describe it. Certainly, definitely of my career. There's always this letdown after a Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup regardless of the outcome because the emotions are so extreme. It's Ryder Cup hangover and you're just exhausted and you're down, you know. That takes a toll on you. “But there's just, it just was, it just was a tough time. Still is. But to be honest with you, the last couple weeks I've felt more like myself. Getting back, getting ready to play tournaments, playing the Skins game, getting ready to come play here. “Really, it's been tough for all of us; not just me, the players as well. I feel like every time I see a player on the team here I want to just go give him a hug and sit down and chat. But I'm grateful for everybody. I'm in a unique position where I could make another team, which has never been done. I would love to do that.” What are your thoughts on this, would you give Keegan another shot at being Captain in 2027?

Bret is atheist adjacent and Joel is a creationist, yet the agree on this: WEINSTEIN: I've been thinking that there's something actually incorrect about the religious stories, the way we're passing them down, that has us misunderstanding the problems. And I'm very interested in fixing that puzzle if it's fixable, because I don't think we can afford to misunderstand these problems. We have to address them, because they're going to be fatal. So they come down to issues of free will, the question of evil, and the question of dominion. This is the third one on that list. And the idea that we have dominion over the earth, because of the way it's interpreted, I think is a very destructive idea. SALATIN: Couldn't agree more. When those conquistadors came in and murdered civilizations and exploited the resources in the name of God and the queen, the crusades — the fact is that a lot has been done wrong in the name of God, or any religion for that matter. And certainly not just God. Name your divinity. Plenty has gone wrong in that. And so it is a right understanding, I think, of our role as stewards, as caretakers of something ultimately that is not ours. That is kind of a starting point across religions, across all beliefs. That is where you start. You don't start with "I'm in control." You start with "I'm a seeker and a learner. Teach me what I need to do to help." That's a very different thing than saying, "I'm going to come in and do this, this, and this, and it's going to do this, this, and this for me."

Rick Rubin tells Andrew Huberman how he deals with creative or writer’s block. He treats his work like a diary entry (and doesn’t worry about internal or external judgment): ➡️ “What's the cause of the block? The block is usually something that's either personal ("I'm not good enough") or it can be a confidence issue ("I don't have anything to say") or it could be...thinking about someone else ("nobody's going to like what I make"). Do you know what I'm saying? So, it's either fear of self-judgment or external judgment. If you're making something with a freedom of "this is something I'm making for myself for now", that is all [you have to do]. It is a diary entry. Everything I make is a diary entry. The beauty of a diary entry is that I can write my diary entry and you can't tell me that my diary entry wasn't good enough. Or that [the diary entry] is not what I experienced. Of course it's what I experienced: I'm writing a personal diary for myself and no one else can judge if it is my experience of my life. Everything we make can be that: a personal reflection of who we are in that moment of time. It doesn't have to be the greatest you could ever do. It doesn't have to have any expectation that it's going to change the world. It doesn't have to sell a certain number of copies for any reason. It doesn't have any of those things at all. It is "I'm making this thing for me and I want to do it to the best of my ability and to where I feel good about it". [The work] is honest of where I'm at and if you're living in this world of just being honest to where you're at, there's nothing blocking you. There are no blocks. The blocks are all based on dealing with a different force or a different perception that is made up.” ⬅️

James McAvoy says he was nearly cast in Harry Potter as Tom Riddle but turned down a £40,000 retainer "I was nearly in Harry Potter. I can probably say this one" "This the very first movie, I think it was, and it was, um, it was... was it Tom Riddle? In the first one, right, in the very first one, but he's like in it for like a scene." "It was a flashback or something like that." "They had, I seem to remember it was right at the beginning of my career, I auditioned for it, and I think they wanted to put me on a retainer." "They offered me something like, it was crazy, I'd hardly done any work, and me and I think maybe 10 other actors or something like that." "They wanted to put us on a retainer so that they could hold us and keep us to choose later who it would be. It was a really strange thing." "They offered quite a lot of money for me at that time. It was a ton of money, it was like £40,000 or something like that. And I'd done very little work, and I wouldn't be able to do any work for about seven months, I think it was." "And I said to my agent, what do you think? And Ruth Young, who's been my agent since, well, for what is it, 24 years at least, 25 maybe, she was like, absolutely not, don't do that." "And she was like, we're going to go and do something else and I ended up doing the play that I got booed off, got booed by homophobic gentlemen, 'Out in the Open'" "I did that instead, and got paid, I think, £275 a week. But it was part of the making of me, and I actually got an acting workout, it was actually learning and doing all that."

American Surgeon shows the actual letter from UnitedHealthcare DENYING a patient in emergency condition from receiving care “This is a woman who was in the emergency room with pulmonary embolisms” “I think we all knew this would happen. I had another patient come in and share with me that UnitedHealthcare denied her inpatient's day. So this is a patient who had shortness of breath and some chest pain, and she just knew that something wasn't right in her body. She had a family history of blood clots and she'd had a deep flap surgery a couple of weeks ago. She went to the hospital and they saw her and they found that she had a life threatening condition known as pulmonary embolisms. So she was admitted to the hospital and taken care of really well by the doctors there. And they ordered all the right things. After a couple of days, she was discharged. She got a letter from UnitedHealthcare explaining that they didn't agree with the level of her care and that they would not cover it. So I'm gonna share some of the language of that letter with you, and I want you to know that my patient that we talked about previously who had her surgery denied had almost exactly the same letter shared. So there's some troubling things in this letter. I think this term is really interesting. United is saying they reviewed the request for inpatient admission. So let's all just pause and consider that. This is a woman who was in the emergency room with pulmonary embolisms, and the doctor wasn't really requesting anything. They were saying this patient needs to be in the hospital. But an insurance company sees this as a request, and that's part of this prior auth environment that we're living in. So I think it's important as patients and as physicians to just acknowledge that this is our reality now. Someone can think that there's a good medical decision for you and can write orders and wanna do the right thing for you, but your insurance company is seeing that as a request and deciding whether or not they wanna do it. One of the criteria that this insurance company used to decide whether or not to accept or deny this request was whether it's medically necessary. And it's so interesting that we're letting insurance companies and the doctors who work for insurance companies determine what's medically necessary and not just the doctor in front of the patient in the emergency room. So this is a really bold statement from UnitedHealthcare for my patient. They say you did not have to be admitted as an inpatient to the hospital for this care. I think we all need to just reflect on that. An insurance company is telling a patient and her doctor that they disagree with the plan of care to keep that patient safe. I know that this is boiling down to whether it's an inpatient admission or an observation admission, and that's really about money. But what I wanna point out to you is they're making medical decisions. This insurance company is actually weighing in and disagreeing with a doctor who made a medical decision to admit this patient for her safety. So this specific sentence, when a doctor or facility treats a patient above the recommended level of care, we cannot cover it. What the heck? That's what we do. We go above and beyond as physicians. It's clear that insurance companies don't, and they're actually saying it here.”

On the invasion in Cueta: THEY ALWAYS TELL YOU Today this film that has lived in my head for over 30 years comes to life in front of my eyes. 'The March' is a 1990 film shaped after 'Camp of the Saints' - A group of several thousand Africans migrate westward across northern Africa and sail across the Strait of Gibraltar to Europe. Their message is: "We are poor because you are rich." Why do I remember it? I was a child when I saw it. But some of the images were haunting in a way I cannot describe. For over 30 years - THIRTY YEARS - I have thought of this scene...the migrants slowly moving into quaint British towns, peering through windows at unsuspecting families, invading homes, demanding what those fat, rich Westerners have. When I tell you not a week goes by where I haven't thought of it, I mean it. Not. One. Week. Watching those Muslim men pouring into Cueta brought it to mind, although I had no idea what it was called. The magic of modern AI led me back to it and I have chills watching this again. Listen to the tv host as he says, "It's a publicly stated attempt to come into our streets, our homes, and shame us into helping them. Or, as they say...WATCH US DIE." They always tell you what their intentions are. They always tell you what they're going to do. And look at the studio audience in this film. Completely white. Is there anywhere in the UK you can see that anymore? From 1990 to today...that's how long it took to bring the magic of the movies to life. But it's here now. Yes, they always tell you. In 1990 I would have been 15 years old. 15yo me was hardly conservative. Still, this scene in particular stuck with me and has been locked away in my brain since that moment. Frankly, it's almost a relief to spill it out onto the page finally. I think this flag planted in 15yo me because that little girl was way more intuitive then I've ever given her credit for. 15yo me knew there was something ominous in the presentation, and she filed it away for a time when she wasn't completely submerged in a socialist household. 15yo me saw something dastardly, a warning. I couldn't articulate that at the time. I probably even felt an affinity for the migrants at the time. And yet, this scene has never left me. Today, I understand. Today I finally see. This was a projection...an announcement. 36 years... These globalists are patient. They don't mind moving slowly. They've been executing the reality of this film for that long, and now they have arrived. A full scale invasion, much like the premise of this film. They always tell you. We need to recognize the long game, and understand that the incremental changes are not to be ignored. They are part of the plan. It may be too late for Spain, for Europe. They did not heed the warnings given by the globalist elites themselves. They are overwhelmed and disarmed. America: I believe the Lord tattooed my heart with that movie and this scene for this very day - for me to tell you - THIS IS US. WE ARE NEXT. The invasion is coming and it will look exactly as they planned and exactly as they told us. We have already experienced a bit of this during Biden, but that was a fraction of what is to come. Heed these warnings. It is time to close ranks and protect what is ours. They have already announced themselves. We can no longer be so foolish as to believe they didn't really mean it. They always tell you.
