This guy‘s argument is literally just ignore statistics if it doesn’t support what he wants to do, which is deport all the illegal aliens.

Labor is a commodity. The less labor available to employers, the more they have to pay and offer benefits to the existing workforce to keep them happy. If you have 10 people competing for a job vs 2, that lets the employer keep wages low as long as the people are replaceable.

He wrecked you when he said look around. There are clearly enough people in that room.

Because we want higher wages, a worker surplus means employers don't have to be competitive.

"Why would you want fewer workers?"

America needs fewer workers because artificial intelligence is poised to replace vast swaths of the labor force, and scaling back now is the only way to save millions of Americans from the impending jobpocalypse. AI is already automating everything from trucking to accounting—studies predict up to 30% of U.S. jobs could vanish by 2030 as algorithms and robots outpace human speed, cost, and precision. Flooding the market with workers in a shrinking job pool will tank wages, spike unemployment, and leave families destitute, straining welfare systems beyond breaking. By proactively reducing the workforce, we can pivot to a leaner economy, forcing investment in retraining for AI-resistant fields like creative arts or strategic oversight, while cushioning the transition with policies like universal basic income. This isn’t abandoning workers—it’s rescuing them from a future where they’re obsolete, ensuring Americans aren’t crushed under the weight of a tech revolution we can’t stop.

Guy tossed out the analogy tossed out numbers from statistics because his full trust is trump.
