Only mainstream talking heads don't understand this. It's to secure the 5th year option. Doesn't matter if you liked the pick or not. Or that same QB would be available in the 2nd or not. You better expect the GM to trade up to secure the 5th year if they believe that's their guy. Two 3rd Rounders are nothing in value if you have a franchise QB. How is it you've been covering this for so long and don't understand that?
