Details 🚨 June 2024 Kerala, India Robbers caught red-handed by this car safety feature! Video Many Indian highways are unsafe for travel at night. With increasing robbery attempts, it’s beneficial to install dash cameras in cars. In this incident, based on the video captured on the car's dash camera, the police initiated an investigation and arrested the culprits. Aslam, Siddique, Charles Reji, and two others from Pattimattam area in Ernakulam district had gone to Bengaluru to buy a computer for their office. While returning to Kochi from Bengaluru, near Madhukarai’s L&T bypass on the Salem-Kochi highway, a gang of robbers attacked their car. In the dashcam video, we can see the car traveling along the highway at night. Suddenly, a white Toyota Innova bumps into the bumper of the young men’s car to block it. They were then forced to stop. The occupants and the driver had no idea what was happening. Behind the white Innova, there was another Innova from the same gang. After blocking the car, the robbers got out wearing masks. Armed, they began attacking the vehicle. One of them used a tool to smash the front windshield. In this situation, the terrified driver reversed the car and then suddenly drove forward, scaring the robbers to move away from the front of the car. The driver and his friends then took the damaged vehicle to the Madhukarai police station, reported the incident, and filed a complaint. As the attack was recorded on the car’s dash camera, the police easily apprehended the robbers. Chittoor’s Shivadas (29), Ramesh Babu (27), Vishnu from Kunnathupalam (28), and Mallapally Ajay Kumar (24) were arrested and detained in Palakkad. The suspects have been remanded, while others are on the run. FYI, I focus on adding context to social media posts that often lack it.
