Wike: “People don’t have character. How Bala Mohammed used us—Bala Mohammed was having a problem with Atiku Abubakar. He came to me and said, 'Look, Atiku will kill him if Atiku wins; that we must support Asiwaju.' We then organized the G5 to go and pay Bala a visit in Bauchi, not knowing that he was using us to settle with Atiku.”

BREAKING: FCT Minister Nyesom Wike responds to Governor Bala Mohammed over his comment where he accused the minister of being behind the EFCC terrorism financing charge against his commissioner of finance Wike said: I watched what Governor Bala said. That all the problems he's having, that I'm the one behind it, because I said I'll put fire in his state. So, if you know I have such power, why are you fighting? Bala came to my state to impose party leaders. I told him to be careful or else, he'll see crises. Today, he doesn't have a party to bring his successor, and this is what I warned them. If you know you don't have the strength to fight, why not go and rest. Now, EFCC is chasing him, and he's saying it's me. What's my business? If your state is clean, go there and clear yourself. Anybody that has stroke, it's Wike. The ones with headache, it's Wike. The ones in Sokoto, Wike. You're in Taraba, Wike. You're in Lagos, Wike, you're in Bauchi, Wike. Leave this Wike. He's too strong.

In 2022, when President Tinubu emerged as the presidential candidate of the APC, Governor Bala Mohammed flew down to Port Harcourt to meet me and said we have to support Tinubu, that he can never work with Atiku. It didn't even take four days, the same Bala moved to support the same Atiku. Even this recent meeting we had at my Abuja residence, Bala said he knows Atiku hates him and that he'll never support him..so that's why he can't go to APC and that we should reconcile in PDP . This same Bala has now moved to Atiku's party. What kind of character is that? - FCT Minister Nyesom Wike blasts Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State
