@neuro_davinski Hemiballismus - lesion of the subthalamic nucleus. Antipsychotics can sometimes help. If not, consider a deep brain stimulator.

Hemiballismus-violent, flinging movements of one side of the body (not a seizure). Classic cause: lesion in the subthalamic nucleus, often from a lacunar stroke.

Subthalamic nucleus or STN was found to be the causative lesion in only 25% of patients with hemiballism in a study of 586 patients with hemichorea-hemiballism. @PDCMDC
