The people of Bengal have already seen through BJP’s vote-theft politics and will give their answer at the right time. We do not support or condone violence in any form. But one must understand the deep frustration of the people of North Bengal, who repeatedly voted for BJP, only to be met with betrayal by Narendra Modi and BJP. Today’s unrest is a direct expression of the anger of ordinary citizens, who have been abandoned in their time of need. Even in the midst of this crisis, BJP leaders chose photo-ops over providing any meaningful relief to the affected people. Their actions, or lack thereof, speak volumes about their disregard for those who placed their trust in them.
