But here's something I promise to you all, and I ask you to make the same commitment as Americans: No matter who wins in 16 days, I will respect the results and recognize that person as my President—whether it's Harris or not. I will not claim it's rigged, and I will not call for violence or chaos in response. I will stand by our democracy, win or lose. We owe it to this country, to each other, and to the generations before us to respect the will of the people. Can we all agree to that?
