John Lynch said Kyle Shanahan is "doing good" in his recovery from a car accident, but is experiencing some "lingering effects" from his concussion. He's being treated as a player in that he'll be going through the typical player's concussion protocol in his return to team activities. Lynch said he does expect Shanahan to be back to his full head coaching duties "well before" Week 1 in Australia.

Tank Dell suffered one of the worst orthopedic injuries you can suffer - a dislocated knee. Usually this leads to 2-4+ ligaments being torn, often including the ACL. These are extremely difficult injuries to return from, especially at a high level like the NFL expects. Here Tank is working with Dr. ‘Reef’ Tabbah in South Florida on his knee. It’s unclear if he will be effective this season, but I’m excited to see how much progress he made. Tyreek Hill is attempting to return from the same severe injury.

Timothy Smith,59, and his daughter went to check on a vacant home Smith owns after having troubles with homeless people in the past. Smith walked in with a gun and found Justin King and a girl in a bedroom, and after Smith and his daughter told them to leave, King allegedly stepped towards them. Smith then aimed “in the area” of King and fired a shot, hitting King in the neck. King was transferred to OU Health, where he was pronounced dead a week after the incident, after being taken off life support. Criminal defense attorney Ed Blau said Smith’s self-defense claim will be complicated because Smith admitted he did not feel threatened and did not see a weapon in King's hand. “If a trespasser or a burglar breaks in or comes into your home that you live in and you’re there, you can pretty much shoot them or do whatever you want to with. And because of the Castle Doctrine here in Oklahoma, in a situation like this, an abandoned house, it’s much different.
