Wouldn't the monthly subscription fee skyrocket if this bill gets passed?

Never going to pass. Everybody has already consented to terms. Can't force the whole industry to change their business model and payout structures just because they're leaving artists with nothing. It's unbridled capitalism that we signed up for.

Sounds like commie shit to me. It's not spotify's responsibility to pay artist, truthfully. They never forced anyone to upload to their services. There are many artist who make a living off music and dont complain about streaming pay.

1 cent per stream is way better than their current system.

People who talk from outside of this industry have to do their research! One penny a stream is great for any artist but those at the top will not allow this to happen because more famous artists would profit heavily and the consumers will pay heftier because they are the buyers. Even when they don't listen or have knowledge of an artists they are paying the artists they don't even listen to!
