But the party undermined the spirit of democracy in every election. Democracy, at its core, is about letting the people decide for themselves. That simply didn’t happen. However one feels about the GOP, the same can’t be said of Republicans. Democrats, by contrast, sided with the establishment candidate in choosing Clinton in 2016 and Biden in 2020. Why is that?
