@HarmfulOpinion Yes and that is because of the cutting of the supply chain in conjunction with demand spiking. That’s the main cause. That’s why it was a global issue. For the record the US faired better than most nations.

But I have receipts 😂 RBC Economist: There's no economists that says two quarters of negative GDP is a technical recession. That's not how we describe it. Mark Carney: The technical definition of a technical recession is just that: it's two quarters of flat or negative growth.

This was Carney but two days before Canadians found out that we were in fact in a recession. Standing up in the HOC telling his usual talking points about how great the Canadian economy is.
