We left careers and a fully remodeled home in California when they were doing this crap. You can’t afford to fight it and stay when your children are at risk . We fled and went to a state we’ve never even visited before and our kids are thriving . Was it hard to leave all behind and move , yes , but 100% worth it

It’s all about money. The state receives federal funding based on per pupil capita. Of course they want to try to be in control of bringing those home schooled children back into the indoctrination camps. I agree. Those parents need to fight or move!

If parents don't want the hassle of moving they better, at least, start writing their representatives and squash this before it becomes law. This is the first baby step to take over homeschooling curriculum/requirements et. al. Fight now or later, your move Illinois residents.

Leave- left IL 8 years ago and moved to IN. Now unfortunately all the IL wackos who voted for their shit are coming to IN to enjoy our crime free neighborhoods, low taxes, etc. and have the nerve to try and push their agenda here!!! GTFO!

I AM SO HAPPY my boys graduated this year and both moved to MO! We want to follow but - stuff. IL also wanting to pass a bill to monitor your driving habits to charge a road use tax by the mile driven. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I not only live in Illinois but in the most liberal part (boystown). The people here are absolutely nuts.

Awhile back several states floated the idea that if you home school it would be considered an educational zone and they would be able to take weapons from your home. Take what Ant is saying seriously. With the gun grab in NM &CO this is concerning for homeschooling parents.
