last night I wrote a song in honor of Voddie and a life well lived: "GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.” To me, Voddie was a personal friend and mentor. I can honestly say that I would not be the man I am today without his leadership. As a late teen, I learned of Voddie from a distance; his ministry equipped me with certainty that if ever I were to have children, that it is my responsibility-not the government's-to educate them. His ministry also initiated my journey as an independent researcher. I later got to have an actual friendship with Voddie. We spoke frequently and he would often text me funny memes, share articles and books I should read and give me feedback on things I was working on.
