I don't miss these because I have working clunkers running them, when needed. ❤️ A Windows XP laptop to search accurately through your old drives & USBs is the bare minimum if you like older gear. I promise you don't HAVE to have the Rover animation! 🐶

why'd you post just the preview of it and not the actual animation?

I think Microsoft increased the default animation speed of Flying Windows in some Windows release to make it appear more performant, but sadly I can't find a reference to it

I miss the flying toasters from After dark. Funnily noone has as far as i know made a remake of it?

Screen savers were a scam... IDK I stopped running them in the mid 90s! they would shoot your CPU up to 100%. Might have saved your screen but not your electric bill. Turn off your monitors!

Can you get this in 2025 on win11?

I always thought that's a really stupid screen saver. Even as a kid I could image the board meeting: -'hey you know that cool star travel screen saver we got? Let's do another one but change the stars into Windows logos!' -'What? that doesn't make any sense.' -'just do it Tim.'

lol I remember it being pretty cool when changing the screen saver to what ever you wanted became something possible! It was mind blowing back then.
