If you're evaluating AI IDEs this week, here's what getting started with Windsurf (retired) looks like (links below): • Download and install from Import any existing IDE settings during onboarding, or start fresh. • Cascade is the agent panel on the right. Chat, generate, edit, run code. @-mention files, symbols, or docs to scope context. • Choose your model - Opus, Codex, SWE, Kimi, GLM and more (Kimi K2.6 is free for the next 2 weeks 👀) • DeepWiki: Cmd+Shift+Click any symbol for an in-depth explanation of what it does. Send it to Cascade with one click. • Codemaps: hierarchical view of how files and functions execute together. Click a node to jump to code. Shareable as links. • Devin in Windsurf: start and manage cloud sessions without leaving the editor. • Agent Command Center: Kanban board of every running agent, local (Cascade) and cloud (Devin). See what's in flight, blocked, or ready for review. • Spaces: group sessions, PRs, files, and context for one task or project into a single view. • Centralized review: handle diffs, PRs, and agent output in one place. • MCP servers, Memories, and Workflows extend Cascade. Set them up once; reuse across projects.

Meet the Agent Editor: create and customize agents entirely from the UI or with a single slash command. Prompts, models, tools, MCPs, Skills policy, avatars. Easy mode to start, Advanced mode for control. Agent Zero v2.9 is out, here to simplify how you build custom agents.

We've open sourced my favorite Devin feature: /handoff Hand off jobs to cloud Devins from your local machine Install it as a plugin in Claude Code or Codex or any other coding agent Close your laptop without pausing your agents 😉

Go from idea to a working agent faster with the Agents API. Build and run cloud agents with the Codex harness, fully managed by OpenAI. We handle orchestration, long-running sessions, and context management. You focus on what makes your agent unique. Available in public beta.

🤯 Hermes agent just got a Kanban task board, and it changes everything. Watch multiple AI agents collaborate in real time, each with a defined role, completing tasks with way more depth than your typical sub-agents. This is the future of multi-agent workflows 👇

If you're building your own cloud agent like Devin or Ramp Inspect, there's lots of great details here on setting up VMs, computer use, memory, and more. Fun deep dive with the creator of OpenInspect on what setting up a cloud agent entails

🔥 🤖 🕵️‍♂️ INTRODUCING: Meta Agent 💥 this is by far the most exciting thing I've created using AI!!! >>> made using Manus and @windsurf 🔑 Meta Agent is an AI agent that uses the OpenAI Agents SDK to GENERATE NEW AGENTS you simply tell Meta Agent in natural language the agent you want... 🤯 and Meta Agent generates it for you fully open --> link to GitHub and example walkthrough below ⬇️

I made a real-world AI hedge fund team. It has 4 agents: 1 • market data agent 2 • quant agent 3 • risk manager agent 4 • portfolio manager agent You can run all of my code below. No prior coding experience is required. The agents work sequentially, passing messages to the next agent. 1 • Market Data Agent gathers market data and calculates technical signals. 2 • Quant Agent takes market data and generates a buy, sell, or hold signal. 3 • Risk Management Agent takes trading signal and generates a risk signal. 4 • Portfolio Management Agent considers all signals and makes a final trading decision.

you don't have to keep your laptop open for your agents to keep running just type /handoff and send your agent to the cloud with Devin (and close your laptop) from there, your agent gets: - its own Linux VM - shell, IDE, browser - full desktop Computer Use - end-to-end test recordings - ready-to-review PRs - it's own review agent you can continue your session from your phone, computer, or anywhere with an internet connection and you can send as many sessions as you'd like in parallel.
