Embrace the final days of winter at Summer Palace in Beijing. Stroll along serene lakes and snow-dusted gardens, enjoy crisp air and quiet beauty, and soak up the peaceful charm of the season before spring arrives.

The Olympic flame on Thursday made its way through Venice, where torchbearers glided on boats down the Grand Canal and across St. Mark’s Basin, facing the famed Doge’s Palace in one of its most scenic passages ahead of the Milan Cortina Winter Games.

🎄✨ WARSAW IN CHRISTMAS LIGHTS 🇵🇱 THE PALACE OF CULTURE SHINES AGAIN OVER THE CAPITAL WARSAW, POLAND. As winter settles over the city, Warsaw’s skyline is once again crowned by light. The Palace of Culture and Science is illuminated in festive colors, turning the heart of the capital into a calm, wintry panorama filled with Christmas atmosphere. Built in the early 1950s, the Palace has stood through post-war reconstruction, political changes, and generations of everyday life. Over decades, its meaning evolved — from a symbol of a difficult era to a familiar landmark that defines Warsaw’s silhouette. Today, regardless of interpretation, it remains one of the city’s most recognizable points. During the Christmas season, the building takes on a different role. Soft lights, winter decorations, and reflections across nearby streets and squares transform the space into something quieter and warmer — a reminder that cities, like people, carry layered histories and changing moods. Around it, the modern skyline glows, trams pass below, and holiday lights frame streets where Warsaw prepares for Christmas — markets, family walks, late evenings, and the slow rhythm of winter in the capital. 🎄 A historic building 🎄 A modern city 🎄 One shared winter moment Sometimes, the city doesn’t need statements or debates — just light, memory, and a pause at the end of the year. St. Petersburg turning the Winter Palace into a living canvas with light projection art. 18th-century baroque architecture meeting cutting-edge digital technology, free for anyone walking by. This is what happens when a country treats culture as public heritage, not a monetized attraction. No tickets, no paywalls, just art on a scale most cities wouldn't even attempt. Beautiful and accessible, exactly as it should be.
