“The Pass of Caradhras” was one of the most demanding sequences ever filmed for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Shot on the real winter slopes of New Zealand's Southern Alps, the conditions were brutally cold the cast’s shivering wasn’t acting, and every breath you see on screen is 100% real.The Fellowship had to repeat long uphill walks in deep snow to maintain consistent formation. Viggo Mortensen insisted on carrying a real sword throughout the shoot, feeling the full weight and freezing temperature exactly as Aragorn would.Peter Jackson avoided artificial fog and breath effects, preserving the raw, physical struggle the crunching footsteps and sense of resistance in the snow were captured directly on location. ❄️

HOW TO GET RICH BY HERDING LIVESTOCK: 1. Move to a remote area with lots of free pasture. 2. Buy some cattle, sheep, and/or goats of an old and hardy breed. 3. Take your herd on grazing walks every day, feeding them at zero cost. 4. Watch your herd multiply and grow bigger year after year. The bigger it is, the faster it grows. Zero overheads. Everything you produce is pure profit. Keep it up until you've amassed a gigantic herd, and then grow it some more. The crucial part is selecting breeds that are suited to this kind of management. Breeds that have fantastic health and constitution; that require no shelter and live under the open sky all year long; that can graze through thick snow in the winter; and that have no need for vets, medications, or supplements of any kind. Check out the clip: This Highland bull calf was born in the middle of the grazing walk, and was ready to follow his herd home (a trip of several kilometers) a mere TWO HOURS after being born. Seriously, the little dude was already running, jumping, and climbing steep inclines. Crazy! 😄

What happens when two wolves find a badger in the woods…some trail camera gold!! Moral of the story: you just don’t mess around with badgers! For a bit of context, the pair of wolves here are the Blood Moon Pack (the pack was only 2 wolves last winter). The breeding female of the Blood Moon Pack, Wolf Y5E, was killed by the Biondich Pack in late January 2025. This left the breeding male, Wolf Y1T, by himself as the Blood Moon Pack was just a breeding pair. However, Y1T found a new mate by early March or so. The first wolf in the video is his new mate who he had been traveling with for the past 1.5 months (this video was taken in mid-April 2025). The Blood Moon Pack did not produce pups in 2025 because the mating season had passed by the time Y1T found his new mate. So, the Biondich Pack effectively prevented their neighbor, the Blood Moon Pack, from reproducing. Anyway, the second wolf in the video is Wolf Y1T who walks up to give the badger a little sniff!

Two Asian elephants, Shirley and Jenny, spent one winter together in 1973 at a circus in the United States. Shirley was a fully grown adult of about 25. Jenny was a young calf, just arrived from Sumatra. They were separated when the season ended. Shirley went on with the circus. Jenny was sold elsewhere. Twenty-two years later, both worn out and injured, they ended up retired to the same sanctuary in Tennessee. Different decades, different states, different owners in between. They had not seen each other since Jenny was a baby. The night Jenny was led into the barn next to Shirley’s stall, she became frantic to get closer. The two of them trumpeted, roared, and reached for each other so hard they bent the steel bars between them. The staff opened the gate. Shirley took on a mother role and the two became inseparable for the next seven years until Jenny passed. Elephants have the largest brain of any animal that walks on land. The hippocampus, the part of the brain that handles memory, is enormous in elephants relative to their body size. They can pick out the bones of a dead relative decades later by smell. A study in 2024 found they use distinct vocal sounds as names for each other, the way we do. So when people say an elephant never forgets, it isn’t a saying. They’ve actually been measuring it.

🚨WEIGH IN 28🚨 BEST WEIGH IN YET!!!!!!!! •284.2 pounds (ATH 530+) •Blood sugar: A1C 5.4% (ATH 11.1%) •Frank has lost 245+ pounds overall (and is carrying 20-40 pounds of excess skin) Frank has been lifting weights three times a week with me since Arnold Schwarzenegger got him started over Christmas. His progress has been fantastic and we can already see improvements in his functional strength. He is also using treadmills occasionally, a machine he used to fear like the plague. The gym once seemed impossible to Frank, now it is part of his routine. The weight lifting is already adding muscle which adds bodyweight as he drops fat. This means his weight loss slowing down is not a regression, his body is transforming from Frank the Tank into Frankie Fitness. It’s been incredibly impressive and painful to join Frank on 3 mile walks through this brutal winter. It’s making him crankie, but it’s still impressive as hell that he’ll never miss a day. Today, we filmed our first ever Frank Lifts with Joba Chamberlain, which showcased Frank’s confidence and comfortability in the gym after just a few weeks. It is hard to imagine what the final outcome will be, knowing Frank is committed to fulfill his promise to Arnold: “INSPIRE MILLIONS!” Crazy to think if Frank got skin surgery done he might 242 pounds! Congrats, Frankie Fitness Here is the documented journey: Frank was 530+ pounds in 2016 (scale couldn’t go higher). 🚨WEIGH IN 28🚨 BEST WEIGH IN YET!!!!!!!! •284.2 pounds (ATH 530+) •Blood sugar: A1C 5.4% (ATH 11.1%) •Frank has lost 245+ pounds overall (and is carrying 20-40 pounds of excess skin) Frank has been lifting weights three times a week with me since Arnold Schwarzenegger got him started over Christmas. His progress has been fantastic and we can already see improvements in his functional strength. He is also using treadmills occasionally, a machine he used to fear like the plague. The gym once seemed impossible to Frank, now it is part of his routine. The weight lifting is already adding muscle which adds bodyweight as he drops fat. This means his weight loss slowing down is not a regression, his body is transforming from Frank the Tank into Frankie Fitness. It’s been incredibly impressive and painful to join Frank on 3 mile walks through this brutal winter. It’s making him crankie, but it’s still impressive as hell that he’ll never miss a day. Today, we filmed our first ever Frank Lifts with Joba Chamberlain, which showcased Frank’s confidence and comfortability in the gym after just a few weeks. It is hard to imagine what the final outcome will be, knowing Frank is committed to fulfill his promise to Arnold: “INSPIRE MILLIONS!” Crazy to think if Frank got skin surgery done he might 242 pounds!
