I spoke today with Bianna Golodryga and Dan Senor about where this war may be heading. There’s a clear divergence in war aims: the U.S. is careful not to commit to regime change, while Israel is formally pushing in that direction. Change in Iran is already underway- the supreme leader and much of the leadership are gone. The real question is what kind of change. If the regime survives, it may emerge even more radical. That’s one reason Israel will push to keep degrading Iran’s capabilities- until Washington draws the line. CNN Breaking News

Dr. Sadegh Zibakalam, professor and well-known political dissident in Iran, says there’s a real red line when it comes to U.S. or Israeli military action. He doesn’t support the Islamic regime, even he’s spent decades calling it corrupt, backward, and dangerous. CURT MILLS: What does finish the job mean? The reality is that if the US goes back to war in a real way, we're looking at an invasion. That's why I believe in either walking away from this conflict entirely or a diplomatic resolution with the Iranians. This is just not America's problem, this is maybe Israel's problem. It's really a faction within Israel or a perspective on what Israel is to do with its future, the Netanyahu-ist perspective and they are trying to offload that responsibility onto the United States because they can't take out Iran themselves, or else they would do it.
