Here in Argentina the laws protecting squatters and people who simply stop paying rent got so bad that owners sometimes hire others to live in an apartment they are putting up for rent and require some form of guarantee (either a title to property or an insurance policy from a bank) that guarantees payment. Fascist socialists here implemented these laws. I've been watching the US in many places following suit. It's a shame that people never learn their lesson.
