This decisive move shows a commitment to justice and a reforms-first approach, ensuring that those who commit such heinous crimes face the strictest consequences. The real question now is whether the BJP will support this crucial Bill, or will they continue to politicize the issue as they have done with so many others? Will PM Modi take a stand with Mamata Didi in protecting the women of this nation, or will the BJP’s silence speak louder than words? The time for action is now, and Bengal is leading the way!

When Bengal brought the Aparajita Anti-Rape Bill to ensure capital punishment for rapists and guarantee real safety for women, BJP’s Central Govt. blocked it on petty, frivolous grounds. When faced with the chance to protect women, BJP chose to protect rapists. This proves that their much-touted “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” is nothing more than a PR tagline. In Bengal, we legislate for justice. In Delhi, they legislate for impunity.
