Remote raiding was one of the most innovative features created by @NianticLabs for @PokemonGoApp. They ruined raiding when they hiked the price up and severely limited its usage. Leadership at Niantic seems to think that remote raid passes are exclusively used for sitting on one's couch and not going outside. They fail to realize that many people incorporated remote raid passes into their overall raiding strategy whilst engaging IRL raiding, creating a well-balanced global experience.
