With Gen-4 References you can use 3D models to quickly position objects exactly where you want them. With just three images: a location, a 3D asset and a style reference, you can generate highly refined outputs without any rigging, texturing or rendering.

Amazing🔥! Where do you get the 3D model objects?

You can create them with your own program of choice, or source stock assets.

Join me as I put several Machine Learning models head-to-head to see which one can beat the market and deliver strong returns. In this free Substack post I share several models that deliver better returns with much lower drawdown compared to Buy-and-Hold approach.

Are there any tutorials on this that I can watch? I’m not that familiar with using 3D assets to generate AI videos.

A Runway Academy will be coming soon, but the process is simple: use your 3D program of choice to position your object how you’d like it to appear. Pre-comp that with a location plate and export as a 2D image. Combine that with your style reference image and location image using Gen-4 References, and you’re ready to animate from there using Image to Video.

So Do you upload 3 images? How do you the compo? On another platform or is there a way to do it in Runway?

Yes, the comp can be done in another program to create a 2D image that you can then use with Gen-4 References.

It’s impressive to see what’s possible with 3D assets

Seriously mind blown at how simple this makes 3D object placement. No more cursing at my screen trying to get things right lol Tech finally working FOR us??

Absolutely mindblowing!

WOW👏🏻🫡
