With gratitude, I hereby resign from Congress effective midnight tonight. It was an incredible honor. Here's some of what I learned:

Are you going to serve the people of western Carolina who lost everything? Or will you serve big business who are swiping private property for Pennie’s on the dollar and not support the people who want to stay? Do what’s right and be a big MAN not a corporate pushover.

Not a Democrat, but voted for you because I have always appreciated your integrity and candor. Thank you for serving us well.
