Better service delivery is a constitutional right of every Ugandan. Public officers entrusted with serving our people, including the CAO, the District Health Officer (DHO), the District Education Officer (DEO), and other local leaders, must carry out their duties with integrity, diligence, and accountability. Those who are neglecting their responsibilities should take this as a warning. Inspection and assessment visits will continue across the country, many of them unannounced. To the many hardworking public servants who serve Ugandans with dedication and honesty, thank you. Your commitment is appreciated, and together we shall continue improving service delivery for all. I was beyond honored to stand with Officer Didarul Islam’s brothers and sisters in blue today in Parkchester to honor his life, service, and ultimate sacrifice. Officer Islam gave everything to protect our city with unwavering courage, selflessness, and dedication. My deepest condolences go out to his family, loved ones, and the entire NYPD. I will always stand with the men and women in blue. We desperately need more police, and that was the message I heard loud and clear from the officers who attended his funeral.

Thank you to the leaders and residents of Sembabule District for the interactive and open engagement that led to the arrest of four public officers over alleged corruption. These include the Town Clerk, the Chief Finance Officer, the District Land Officer, Mr. Kananura, and the Forest Officer. The District Health Officer, who is alleged to have stolen hospital equipment, will also be formally charged before the Anti-Corruption Court. All the officers mentioned will be interdicted, and new officers will be deployed to the district to pave the way for a transparent, impartial, and expeditious investigation. The Chief Administrative Officer will also be recalled to headquarters. I extend my sincere appreciation to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, State House Legal, the Ministry of Works technical team, the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), the Office of the President, Crime Intelligence, the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), and all the leaders and stakeholders participating in the Expose the Corruption mission. Your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to accountability are helping restore integrity in public service. There is no room for impunity or corruption in this Kisanja. We remain committed to strengthening accountability, restoring public trust, and improving service delivery across all local governments.
