Residents in Eldoret city continue to raise alarm over the worsening state of water supply, blaming ELDOWAS for distributing dirty, discoloured water that many believe is unsafe for human consumption. From exaggerated bills, inconsistent supply, unexplained rationing and now filthy water coming out of taps, residents say they are being failed from every angle. The water is unreliable, unhygienic and overpriced. "Hi Cyprian. I recently relocated to Eldoret and this is the state of the tap water being supplied by Eldowas. It’s honestly shameful, especially for a place that now calls itself a city."

#WATCH | Rajasthan: Amid a water crisis in several colonies of Jaisalmer, local authority is supplying water to them through water tankers. However, local residents in several colonies claim that water is being supplied to them with a gap of 4-5 days aggravating the water crisis amid the scorching heat. Rajasthan Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Executive Engineer Niranjan Meena says that water supply was interrupted in wake of canal closure due to some ongoing work on it and normal supply will resume everywhere within 72 hours.

Their belongings are being stored at a community centre, which is now also being used as a shelter. Some of the evacuees are staying with friends and relatives. Underground water surfaces when the water table rises above normal levels after periods of prolonged, heavy rain. The phenomenon last happened in Content in 2005 following hurricanes Dennis and Emily. However, councillor for the Bellefield Division in Manchester, Mario Mitchell says it's worse this time round with the water now covering parts of the main road. It's expected that vehicular access will soon be restricted until the water recedes. The rising water episode first happened in Content 1977, claiming two lives.

Firefighters also had water loaded on their trucks, doing their best to ensure this would not be a repeat of the Palisades fire.

For the second week, water and electricity are supplied according to schedules due to infrastructure damage caused by the russian army. Electricity and water are supplied according to established schedules, which forces people to plan their activities around the hours when light and water are available. Water supply is often switched to backup power using generators. To cook hot food, many residents use open fires, barbecues, and makeshift kitchens in courtyards and near entrances. They unite with neighbors and families for communal meal preparation.

On a request from state government authorities, an IAF Mi 17 V5 of Central Air Command (CAC) was deployed to rescue two stranded children, who were stuck on top of a water tank in Sidharth Nagar in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The children were stranded in the night as the ladder of the water tank was damaged. The rescue mission, yet again, displays the IAF's professionalism and commitment to save lives with a swift response in times of need. 🇮🇳 #CAC #IAF
