With Rue turning 2 today I’m sharing some dad tips that I’ve jotted down over time. Being a parent is the best grind in the world and being a part of the Girl Dad community is one of the many perks. It’s important us dads stick together 🤝 Here’s... show more

Happy birthday Rue! Everyday my boys left for school I didn't say "have a good day". I told them "Be a leader and do something nice for someone".

Love this!

That last one, being a father of 3, am impressed Will, I will try the ask a question during next meltdown

One of the biggest things I have learned as a dad…Don’t be afraid to tell your kid you are sorry. It is humbling to apologize to your child, but shows you are human and sets the precedent for her to learn to own her mistakes when the time comes.

Always leave somewhere cleaner than when you were in it . Ask what they dislike and walk through it and how to overcome .. Randomly interrupt for any reason 💯

Baby boy is due in August; not having a dad I’ve been really lost, thank you for this will,

Damn, this made me cry man. You’re a good dude ❤️

I think this post won me over. I was a hater but as a fellow girl dad these tips are spot on. I would add to this, put on some good tunes and dance with them and spin em around. They have a blast and you get to jam out to something other than little mermaid soundtrack.

“Moosic” “dance” This is a great one 🤝🤝

Start checking in with them at an early age. Randomly. “Hey, you okay?” Then when they look at to weird or answer “yes, why?!” Explain to them that because sometimes life gets busy and overwhelming and it feels good to talk about it. Lower the barrier to entry early! HBD Rue
