With the #Panthers winning their second consecutive #StanleyCup last night, should they be considered a dynasty? If not, what constitutes a dynasty in sports?

3 titles in 5 or 6 years with same core of players

For me; a dynasty must have 3 titles in a 5,6,7 year span. 4 titles in a 10-12 year span. Etc. Recent dynasties. KC (20-now) and NE (01-04) (14-18) are the most recent NFL ones. In NBA: GSW (15-22), LeBron (11-20), (Lakers 00-02), (08-10). Spurs (03-07) but argue (99-13)

No way. You can’t be a dynasty with only two titles

3+ titles in 5 years.

If you win three championships with the same core in under a decade

Were the 80's Celtics a dynasty? They won three championships. The Lakers won five. How can a team be dynastic during a period when another team was better?

3 in a row. 4 out of 5...

Over a decade....most # of championships....so 70 s Steelers, 80s San Francisco, 90s Dallas I think....

3 outta 5 in 7ish years

Nfl requires 3, hockey is harder to win so even if you wanted to say more forgiving it would have to ba much longer window of being a top cup favourite/deep playoff team than 3 years
