They said they were only going after the “worst of the worst.” The data didn’t back that up. Footage captured across the country didn’t back that up. Now, the ICE Director isn’t backing it up either—admitting they aren’t just detaining those with criminal records. Even worse, there are U.S. citizens and immigrants with status being detained. Families and neighborhoods are being torn apart just to meet arbitrary quotas. It’s wrong. We must stop the cruelty now.
