“Your Iftar with Sameer Project is Sweeter” is the name of the Ramadan campaign that our team chose. And for our first iftar distribution in the South, our team came together with 13 women from the camp to prepare iftar together. The beautiful energy of collective care was felt in the camp. 180 hummus fatteh meals were made where 80 were distributed in Refaat Alareer camp and 100 in Al Hawr camp in Nuseirat. Fatteh means a layered dish of chickpeas or chicken or eggplant with toasted pita bread and topped with garlic yoghurt and pine nuts. And of course, qatayef dessert was made and distributed. With ingredients, labor and transportation, this initiative cost around $850. We are planning to do this on a larger scale throughout Ramadan. Support our Ramadan campaign as prices are increasing with border closures:
